LOS ANGELES – A reality TV star is sentenced for burglarizing the home of Orlando Bloom will spend a year in residential rehabilitation treatment for what her attorney says is a debilitating heroin addiction.
Striking a hard tone, Los Angeles High Court Judge Peter Espinoza on Thursday said Alexis Neiers would be the last chance for non-prison treatment.
He spent 30 days in a prison sentence of six months of this year after pleading no contest to burglarizing homes Bloom as part of a group accused of breaking into a house a few celebrities. Probation officials Neiers arrested on December 1 after the find heroin and fake a letter of authorization to drive in his home during the inspection of compliance.
Prosecutors have requested Neiers, 19, was sent to prison for two years.
Espinoza raised the age, criminal record is limited, and his addiction as a reason why he chose to model the recovery not prison, and the candidate stars E! Entertainment Television show “Pretty Wild.”
“What we know about the state prison – he would not go and receive treatment,” said Espinoza.
Says he is now battling for life addiction, Neiers judge warned that he would not tolerate if he does not take a serious recovery.
“If you come back to me to use heroin, you will be returned to prison,” said Espinoza.
Justices did not comment after the hearing. Deputy Prosecutor Chris Baker has noted in court that Neiers not checked with probation officers, nor will it refrain from using drugs or pay for the return to Bloom for the robbery. He said their action was supported sending it to the state prison.
Neiers lawyers’, Tariq Khero, said Espinoza was the right decision.
“This is a girl who really needs help, and I hope she can find him in a treatment program,” said Khero.
