Michael Jackson2 New Jackson album: a thriller from beyond the grave?LOS ANGELES (AFP) – Michael Jackson this week fans will finally get their hands on the first post, pop icon since his death, with a large sales expected despite warm reviews and the questions of authenticity.

“Michael,” due out Tuesday in the United States, consists of 10 songs King of Pop is in various stages of finish when he died last year, and including contributions from rapper 50 Cents, U.S. singer Lenny Kravitz and Akon.

Two tracks have been released online, the first – “Breaking News,” a fierce protest how the media hounded the singer scandal-tainted – sparked fierce debate about whether it really sounds Jackson.

Sony record company – which plans to publish a series of Jackson’s new album – was forced to defend the album after the fans and even some family members questioned the authenticity of the recording Jackson.

“We have full confidence in the results of our extensive research and accounts of those in the studio with Michael that the vocals on the new album itself,” he said in a statement.

Jackson’s sister LaToya said bluntly that the record “does not sound like him.” But more generally, Jackson purist fans question how some of the songs were completed, the recorded material is sometimes a few years ago.

At least one song, “Too Much Soon,” written in 1982 when Jackson’s landmark album “Thriller,” a few bars from the last album of new material, 2001′s “Invincible.”

Most new path, “Band of Joy,” coming from the months before the shock death of Jackson in June, 2009 – he plans to keep working on it in London in between a series of sell-out concerts in July and August, says the manufacturer.

Jackson is credited as the author of all but two songs – “Another Day” by Lenny Kravitz and “Hold My Hand” by Akon, and publishers are very interested to emphasize how close they keep to the original intention of the singer.

“While Michael was not there to finish the track that only he can, he has left behind a road map mapping out a unique creative vision in the form of notes and detailed conversation,” they said in a 10-page introduction to the media, who spent two search pages to allow the original album.

Pre-release reviews of the new album – reportedly the first of the 10-album deal more than seven years, although difficult to confirm – were clearly mixed.

“This is not a Michael Jackson album … He will not be released something like this compilation, censored and grab bags are assembled with a label describing Jackson,” said Rolling Stone, despite calls it “interesting.”

Entertainment Weekly gave “B” grade, said: “As epitaphs go music, Michael is a solid album, arguably stronger than the Invincible, and certainly no greater insult him.

“But it would be difficult to hear and not to wonder what will be different -. Or whether he would want us to hear at all”

UK music weekly NME review said the album is saved by the last two songs: “. Much Too Soon” “Behind the Mask” which he described as “brilliant” and the ballad Thriller era

“Oh, is not it? T is really very nice, do not be under the illusion that?. But compared with the chaos that is not necessary, it is not authentic and humiliating could have been …? Michael something that can actually be considered? Of winning, “he said.

But, probably like it or not, this album has become a bestseller with the fans, as the movie last year “This is It,” a recording made of the training for the London show.

The album – a cover, in a typical Jackson style, represents him being crowned by angels to the stars who appear in the biblical background – is number 11 on Amazon.com ‘s top sellers this weekend, ahead of the actual product.
