You can add a drop of water to a watersoluble mascara wand when it gets dry to loosen and mix mascara.  Add nail polish thinner to old nail polish.  Polish tends to gather in the bottom of my bottle at times.  This works great.

I mix my foundation with a little moisturizer to get a more natural look.  You can also.

IS IT REALLY A BARGAIN?

Be aware that if you buy something on sale, you may need to purchase other pieces to make the item work.  You need to work that figure into the cost.  When items go on sale or are last season’s style at the discount store, you may need to have them dry cleaned to freshen them up.  That also needs to be added to the costs. 

GO TO SCHOOLS TO SAVE A BUNDLE!

If you daydream of a manicure or a soothing massage, but you just don’t have the money, call a student clinic.  Virtually all schools that teach hairstylists, nail technicians, massage therapists, etc., look or “real” people on which they can teach their techniques.  Although prices vary, they are nominal.  A 0.00 dollar hair coloring may cost .00 at the school, and a massage may be one .00, or even free.  Call beforey you go.  Most schools have limited hours.   Don’t be afraid that a first timer will be working on you.  Students almost always are supervised by highly skilled teachers.

BROKEN COMPACT

If you’ve dropped your pressed powder compact, and it’s fallen apart, don’t throw it away.  Break up the remaining chunks and add a small amount of rubbing alcohol.  Mix it until it forms a paste.  Press it back into the compartment.  In a few hours the alcohol will evaportate, leaving a solid cake.
